Fill your (Personal) Care Jar
We all know the idea behind a swear jar: every time someone curses they have to drop in a coin. This festive season, why not switch things up? Shift focus from bad words to good deeds, and ‘upgrade’ your swear jar to a care jar!
Try this experiment
Every time someone does something nice for you, make a note – and pop it in a jar on your desk. Keep it up through the month of December, taking care to capture even the smallest things. A friendly question? Cup of tea? Warm smile? All worthy of making note and sticking it in the jar!
On your last working day of ‘24, crack open your jar. Read every note, and remind yourself of how WONDERFUL the people around you are; how much they care for you, and how lucky you are to have them in your life.
Why it works
Gratitude is a powerful tool for improving team cohesion and morale. Acknowledging positive actions enhances emotional bonds and creates a culture of appreciation. By focusing on kindness, you boost your mood AND create a ripple effect of goodwill that touches everyone in your team. Happy Holidays, one and all!
